Great video! What ammo would you choose if you wanted to run the LC Carbine 45 suppressed for home defense? Would the carbine length have similar adverse effects on popular subsonic standard pressure ammo, as it did on those +P jacketed hollow points? Another video perhaps?

Great reload info!! I just traded a 2013 Henry .45-70 for a Weatherby Mark V .375 H&H. So I am going to buy another Henry 45-70 but this time with the side loading gate. That range you have there is a pretty incredible looking set up. I had a hard time deciding between this and the Henry Big Boy side gate in 44 mag and ended up going with the Henry but I'm sure I will eventually get one of these as well, they seem to perform very well.

One of the best bore cleaners I have found is Butch's Bore Cleaner - it is some really strong stuff but works great, I have used it on several different guns that would not get completely clean with other bore cleaners.

There are many like it as the saying goes. But the 39A is as close as you can get to the best. It was described by a friend as a Man’s rifle. It is up there as one of the best. Hard to beat a 10-22 or a mod 60 or a H&R Leatherneck 22. But the 39A leads the pack.👍🏻

I never understood all the angst with disassembling/re-assembling MKII’s. There’s definitely a ‘trick’ to it but once you’ve done it a few times its easy.

Great video, but I do believe that I shall take my Marlin 30 30 to a gunsmith. I would really hate myself if I screwed up my Marlin. I could watch this several times and I am sure that I would have parts left over.

My daughter picked up a 16 in. version for a song and dance unfired. Within 100 rounds of .454 the stock cracked at the wrist. So I got her an American Black Walnut stock and a metal strap buttplate. Should see how great the gun looks now. So pretty you could kiss it. And that little tiny gun is the most powerful in its weight at under 6 lbs.

Just put money down on a 73- w94. 30-30. The frame was blued beautifully with dark walnut stock. I couldn’t pass it up 😍

A good and honest review and we are told tht the light double action strike has been corrected. On a side note just look at the muscles on this old bugger. He is beyond the first blush of youth and did not get that way sitting in front of the flat screen eating saturated fat and watching MSNBC. This greatly adds to his credibility.

If you remember the scratches It had, on the ejector rod and cylinder also the corner near the grip, they were most likely from being run over by a car..Thus ..relocating the cylinder stop location in the Frame

The gun was probably thrown out the window in a police chase and run over by a police car, before going to the pawnshop.

It’s not rocket science lighter round although traveling faster will not have the penetration of the heavier round traveling slower , the heavier round will win everytime !

The .44 Mag is already so overpowered that it hardly matters if you are losing even a substantial amount of velocity from a shorter barrel.

Do u think that 35 rem FTX was just a bad bullet out of the bunch,.. or is it just an awful bullet for hunting... more of a paper target round for groups??

The 30-30 can shoot most of today’s modern 30 cal bullets to get the most out of it. As long as you hand load and shoot single shot.

I have used a 357 revolver for deer hunting in ohio wood lots for years ..with plenty of secessfull hunts .... last year got a rossi r92 in 357 took a nice whitetail at 110 yards .

I've never had any trouble to disassemble/reassemble my Ruger 22/45 MKII and Target MKII. Some people at the range say it requires a gunsmith to clean those pistols. They probably pay someone to change the oil in their car.
